Sunday 15th of October 2017

@10.30am special service at ZBC to celebrate the 180th Anniversary of our church. The service will be followed by a meal at 12.30pm and the showing of a short film we have commissioned to mark the church's 180th anniversary.

Saturday 28th/ Sunday 29th October 2017

Saturday 28th October @2pm-5pm Exhibition & 7pm Lecture & Poetry Reading: Rev Dr Richard Kidd, artist, poet and theologian will be exhibiting original paintings, mounted prints, fine art cards, books of poems an other writings @ ZBC. His public lecture will be on the theme of 'The Importance of Beauty in a Broken World.'

Sunday 29th October @10.30am Rev Dr Richard Kidd will lead worship using visual and poetic resources, including information about 'Freeset' and the charity 'Painting for Freedom' formed in 2016 to channel funds from the UK to 'Freeset.' 

'Freeset' enables 'freedom businesses' in West Bengal, which provide high quality employment for 400 women previously trapped by the brutal injustice of India's sex-trade. All profits from the sale of Richard's work goes to 'Freeset.'

Richard was baptised and worshipped at ZBC some years ago when he was a student at the University of Cambridge. For more information on his charity see:

Monday 15th January 2018

@5pm Rev Sharon Reives, who is currently a PhD student at Anglia Ruskin University will be bringing her play 'A Balm in Gilead" to ZBC. The play is being held on Martin Luther King Day as part of the global, 50th anniversary commemorating the assassination of  Rev Dr Martin Luther King Junior. The play tells the story of the bravery and determination of the 1300 Memphis sanitation workers who walked off their job with no union and Martin Luther King Jr's support of their efforts to secure fair pay and treatment.
